Easter is nearly here... Doesn't seem like the year should be going this fast, but it is. With Easter, we often start to feel like Spring is finally getting here. At least this year, we are getting some nice weather in Minnesota for Easter.
Did you know?:
- Easter accounts for 12 percent of the dollar volume for holiday flowersales, according to the Society of American Florists. More than 10 million lilies, the most popular Easter flower are sold each year.
- Americans are expected to spend $1.18 billion on candy this Easter,according to the National Confectioners Association. Easter ranks second incandy sales after Halloween.
- Easter is the fourth most-popular holiday for sending greeting cards, behind Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day, according to the Greeting Card Association.
- Sales of Easter decorations reached over $440 million per year, according to the Unity Marketing "Gifts & Decorative Accents" Report.
- More than 60 million chocolate bunnies, 2 million marshmallow chicks per day, and 15 billion jellybeans will be produced for Easter, according to theNational Confectioners Association.
