It is quickly coming up on tax time again and it's not too early to think about filing if you haven't already done so. The following tax related information comes from Redleaf Institute.

The Internal Revenue Service has posted a number of resources on their Web site that may be of interest to family child care providers:
- 2008 IRS Tax Calendar: This calendar contains all IRS deadlines for filing forms throughout the year. It is particularly useful if you have employees. It also contains a number of articles about general business tips. It's available at www.irs.gov (keyword: tax calendar). You can also download the calendar into Microsoft Outlook or Apple's iCalendar.
- The Small Business and Self-Employed One-Stop Resource (www.irs.gov/smallbiz) offers tax help through an indexed list of topics. You can search under your state name and find out all the state tax issues that affect your business (particularly if you are hiring employees).

- A tax preparer directory
- IRS documents: Copies of all IRS Tax Court cases, Revenue Rulings and other official documents dealing with audits of family child care providers
